General Service

volt and varnish offers shoe cleaning services, we clean all types of shoes. You just have to create an account, add your basic information and that’s all to get your ready to use our platform for shoe washes. Our website handles all order and users(customers) can do everything from their dashboard. Now booking for a shoe wash is simple, you just need to click the “sign in” or “request service” button inside the home page. This will log you in to the dashboard, where you’ll see a button labelled as “request service”. Once you click this button you’ll be taken to a booking form, were you will fill in the need details for your request. now the form is divided into 3 parts:

Part 1The first part is where you specify the number of pairs you want to get washed. 1 refers to 1 pair and 2 is 2 pairs and so on.

part 2The SECOND PART IS WHERE YOU SPECIFY HOW WILL BE GETTING YOUR SHOES. yOU HAVE 2 OPTIONS, THE FIRST ONE IS PICK UP. wERE WILL BE THE ONE’S WHO COME TO COLLECT YOUR SHOES FROM THE LOCATION DETAILS YOU ENTER, YOU ALSO HAVE TO CHOICE BETWEEN 3 PICK UP TIMES. nOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS SECTION, YOU SEE A SAVE BUTTON. THIS IS FOR YOU TO SAVE YOUR LOCATION FOR FUTURE US, AND MAKE THE PROCESS EASIER NEXT TIME YOU ENTER. tHE SECOND OPTION IS DROP OF WERE YOU THE CUSTOMER WILL BRING THE SHOES TO US AT OUR BASE OF OPERATIONS. yOU CAN ASK FOR OUR LOCATION VIA WHATSAPP OR YOU’LL FIND IT IN YOUR ORDER AND AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE ALSO.nOW IF YOU SELECT DROP OFF, YOU CAN BRING THE SHOES ANY DAY, DURING OUR OPERATIONAL HOURS, wE ARE OPEN : mONDAY - sunday, from 08:00 am - 18:30pm. Make sure you have access to your order/service id as this serves as proof you have an order with use.Now if you select pick up, you have to enter your location details and also your coordinates which help us location you fast. Now if you have save your location before just select it from the “pick from saved locations” else fill in the form. Now you just need to click the “get location coordinates” button and make sure your location is open on your device, and this will get your locations coordinates. Note that you only do this if your located where you want the shoes to be picked up, if not located at that place, you can leave this.Now the location form is simple, tho you should note inside building/street name, this is where you can specify your floor number, room number, the street name, or even a near by public identifier like a school, park and so on. The rest of the form is simple. Next you need to pick the time which suits your situation best: Note then when you select pick up, we do it during the same day or the next. If the current time is 07:30 am and you place an order, you can pick between the 3 options and your shoes will be picked up on the same day, but if the current time has passed,example let’s say the time is 12:25pm, the pick up time for that day will be 16:30 - 18:00 pm and the options 08:00 - 09:30 and 12:00 - 13:30 will be available for the next day.

part 3: is the same as part 2, just fill in the location details and time if you select delivery. at the bottom of the page you’ll find a button labelled “procced”. Which will take you to the summary page, where you can view and confirm your order details and see the total cost of your order.

Now once in side the service summary window, you’ll see a block named “add priority: with a box of the far right. If you click the box you’ll indicate that you want your order to take priority and be quick as possible. This will add the priority fee. and it will be reflected inside in the total price. Once your confirm your orders information is correct. You can click pay and you’ll be taken to payfast’s payment page, which is our payment provide and you’ll pick which ever payment method suits your situation.

The figure on the left shows an image where the priority box is selected and the cost is reflected according. Now once you have made a successful payment, you can track your order inside your dashboard, it should have the status : collection, showing that your shoes a waiting to be collected or dropped off, and won’t change until we have your shoes. More on order status below.

Pickup & Delivery

We offer pick up and delivery at a very reasonable price, and in a flexable way. The customer can select from 4 different options depending on their situation.

Options

  • They can select Pick up, so we come get the shoes and also pick up, of which they can come get their shoes once ready.
  • They can select drop off, were the bring the shoes to us, and delivery , so they can get their shoes delivered to them once ready.
  • They can select drop off and pick up, were they bring and pick the shoes up for themselves.
  • last pick up and delivery were we handle both getting and delivery of the shoes from and back to the customer.

Pricing & Payment

We charge R30 per shoe pairfor pick up and delivery we charge R25 if both are selected options R15 for each when selected separately.we also have free delivery and pick up on first time orders and for 6 shoe pairs going up.

Subscrition Plans

pick from 3 subscription plans we offer, each with it’s own benefits and covers a need.We have, basic plan, normal plan, and premium plan.

Basic plan offer:

  • Price: R150 pm
  • shoe washes: 4
  • pickup and delivery discount: 5%
  • Always priority

Normal plan offer:

  • Price: R350 pm
  • shoe washes: 9
  • shoe discount: 8%
  • pickup and delivery discount: 8%
  • Always priority

Premium plan offer:

  • Price: R1200 pm
  • shoe washes: 18
  • shoe discount: 10%
  • pickup and delivery discount: free
  • Always priority

Term and conditions:

  • Now the benefits remain till the due date also long as the user hasn’t up or downgraded, or cancelled their plan.
  • Shoe washes reflects the number of shoe pairs you can wash without paying for any of them. They get used up and once finished depending on the plan, a discount will be applied.
  • The additional benefits of the picked plan will still be valid even after your shoe washes have ran out.
  • We don’t offer refunds for subscriptions plan, once you get a subscription plan we advice you don’t cancel or down grade from it.
  • , If you do cancel your subscription plan, you will lose the benefits that come with it. But what ever shoe washes that were left will still be applicable and regardless.
  • We won’t debt from your account monthly, once your due date is reached, your account will be automatically be cancelled.
  • Should you wish to renew your account you can do so by clicking renew inside subscriptions in the client dashboard. this will add another month starting from the due date of your last subscription.
  • You will receive notifications, 3 days before the due date and the renew button will be visible on the dashboard.

Turnaround & Tracking

Tracking your order is simple, this can be done inside the client dashboard, Orders have different status each reflecting the stage at which your order is currently at.

order status:

  • Collection: This is the stage your order will be at after payment, during this status your shoes are not yet collected or dropped off.
  • Washing: Your status reaches this stage right after your shoes have been collected, and till they are completely washed.
  • Drying: this is the stage at which the shoes are in the drying process, this is the stage that may take the longest depend on may facts, example if we are dealing with many orders
  • Ready: At this stage the shoes are ready for delivery or for pick up, given on what you’ve selected. It can take 3 days at max to reach this stage
  • complete: At this stage the shoes have been return back to the customer
  • cancelled: Order can no longer be processed, and a refund transaction is requested

Terms & conditions

  • If an order is cancelled, the order will go through a refund process and in this process a refund transaction will be created. User can check/track this transaction inside “credit and refunds”.
  • the refund transaction has 3 different state’s (status), refund-pending: during this process admin will process your refund application, and issues out a refund, it can take 3 days at max for funds to reflect depending on the bank you use. refunded: This means money has been successfully been sent back to you. uncancelled-refunded: This shows an error happened, order was cancelled from admin side.
  • An order can only be cancelled if your orders status is collection, once the your status progresses, cancellation is not offered.
  • Priority for subscribed accounts is always applied to orders for free, and for regular accounts we charge R10.
